In the works

The legend: Every fall the Great Messenger Bag appears out of the dark alleys to bring joys to those in need. Catching rides from local cyclists, the Great Messenger Bag travels from one grocery store to the next gathering much needed food for the upcoming holiday season.

How it works:
Each rider is given a list of 10 items at the start of the event. The riders then must purchase 2 of the 10 items at each one of the 5 locations. Riders must bring back all items and register receipts for each of the 10 items to the finish.

Piggly Wiggly 1607 George St
Festival Foods 30 Copeland Ave
People’s Food Coop 315 5th Ave S
Quillin’s IgA 325 West Ave N
Kwik Trip 500 Cass Street or 2506 South Ave

Fastest Monkeys (male and female)
No shifters –Single speeders
Can’t yet voters---Under 18
I got the junk in the trunk –most items brought back.

$10 entry fee and money needed for you to purchase the 10 items on the list. Half of the entry fee will be used to purchase even more food for the Hunger Task Force. The remainder will be used to cover expenses for the event.

Sounds like the twin cities stupor bowl bike messenger competition, only on a smaller scale. It sounds like a cool idea, but when is it?
