T1 mistakes
Just saw a video clip of a person during T1. First thing they did after out of the water was take off their swim cap and goggles. That may seem logical, but is actually a bad move. Why would you want to carry your cap and goggles in your hand as you try to peel off your wetsuit? The person in the video was right handed, so they took off their cap and goggles in their right hand, then moved them to their left hand so they could unzip thier suit with their dominant hand (right). Next they peeled down their suit and used their right hand to pull the suit off their left arm. They got to the end and moved the cap and goggles to their right hand so they could pull their arm through the suit. Then they did the same again, moving cap/goggles to left hand so they could pull their right arm through.
The key to fast transistions are keeping them simple. Leave your cap and goggles on until the top part of your suit is off. If you want, just lift up your goggles and leave them on your forehead. Exchanging your cap and goggles between hands 4 times while hustling up the beach to T1 and peeling of your suit will just slow you down. Keep it simple.

I don't know anything about racing, but that makes a lot of sense!

You know, I've been doing tri's for 5 years and never even thought of that! I guess you call that one of the "little things".
Yeah, K.I.S.S.
Why not do what they did but throw the damn goggles and cap? Just an idea. Maybe that is --too-- simple?
Trista-It seems so simple, yet many people stuggle
All3-All those little things add up to big time savings.
Steve-You are not allowed to abandon equipment so you can't toss them aside
More great advise from Tri-God. Your retarded friends are eating it up as usual. LOL
Of course its not funny to you, your one of the Tards. LOL
I know I am retarded, but could it be time to turn off Anonymous posts off?
Anon- Once again your tone suggests what I am posting about is not good information. If you are one who participates in triathlons, I would love to have a discussion with you about transitions. Perhaps we could even compare results/times. Then we could finally prove that you are as big of an idiot as we are all thinking.
Now thats funny!! Thanks DirtRam youve a mada my daya
P.S: I don't know your mamma. LOL
some people are STILL immature way after high school!
